A year ago today, I couldn’t wait to hit publish on my very first post introducing Eternally Wanderlyn and myself to the world. My hope was to create a place that would inspire women to embrace self-love and acceptance, while encouraging them to create the lives they want to live. I wanted to nourish their diverse interests in travel, food, beauty, and all things geeky.
There is beauty in being exactly who you are without apology or shame. And I wanted to encourage women to embrace this beauty.
It’s amazing what you can accomplish in 12 months. I took part in the Love EVERY Body workshop where I was able to meet some wonderful people in the blogging community who have encouraged me and rooted for me. I’ve become an expert in SEO and keyword researching, while also learning a little about design on the side. Granted, there was a lot of trial and error, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now. I haven’t broken my blog yet, so I’ll call that a win for the year.
This past year I’ve also offered y’all a brief glimpse into my life and mind. I introduced you to my version of motherhood, while also revealing why I don’t want kids. I shared all the stereotypes that I’ve encountered about bisexuals and feminists. And I even told you about the time I fell down a flight stairs walking INTO a bar. But, of course, one of my favorite posts had to be ogling Adam Levine at the Maroon 5 concert. I mean, hello!
Overall, the past year has been an incredible learning experience, and I want to celebrate this milestone with all of you! In honor of my blog birthday, I am paying forward the kindness that was shown to me this past year by Kate and Adam of The Florkens. They offered a few bloggers, myself included, a free spot on their sidebar for a month. So now I’m doing the same.
I’m offering 5 free Middle Child ad spots to the first 5 people to claim them in the comments section below. My hope is that all of you will pay it forward in the future. So hurry and claim your spot on my sidebar! π Make sure to include an email address where I can reach you.
To everyone who has visited my blog this past year, I send all my thanks and love! I appreciate your support more than you know. Here’s to many more years of blogging!
