friday second favorite f word

Happy Friday, y’all! I am so excited to be enjoying a long weekend this week. I never get a vacation, so this one will be a welcome break, meaning I’ll be nice and cozy in my bed. But before I get back to hibernating, here are a few of my favs for this week:

Gilmore Girls – How awesome is it that Netflix FINALLY added this show?! It’s already been added to my list and I’m pretty sure I’ll be as addicted to this show again as Lorelai and Rory are to coffee.

The Killing – Troy and I have been watching this show for the past few weeks. We learned pretty quickly that watching this show is like eating Pringles – you can’t watch just one episode. Unfortunately, this means we have to wait for the weekends so that we can get our fix. This weekend will be all about the instant gratification. Give me all the episodes!

“I heard that Americans marry 3 times. The first time in their 20s for love. The second in their 30s for money. And again in 60s for no reason.” – my student

Mark Twain quote, quotes about age

With my 29th birthday around the corner, this quote is so perfect right now. I may be 1 year away from 30, but I still don’t feel like an adult. When does that happen?

If only we were all this excited to be at work. Maybe we can at least bust out some dance moves to welcome the weekend.

What are some of your favorites for this week?

  • Your post had me cracking up. Between the quote from your student and the dance video I had a good laugh. Thanks for sharing those and have a wonderful weekend.

    • I think that man has better dance moves than I do! Haha. Thank for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

  • Happy Birthday 🙂 Best wishes from Thailand, xxoo

  • I love that they added Gilmore Girls!

    • Me too! I’m just sad that they also removed Dawson’s Creek. I am still so in love with Pacey!

  • love that age quote, and i watched a couple of GG episodes this week and am totally going to binge watch this weekend.

    • I am going to binge watch too! Gilmore Girls is one of my all time favorite shows. I love the dialogue and witty banter. 🙂 And I feel that the age quote is so true. We agonize over getting older, but age is just a number. Have a great weekend, Kristen!

  • Jealous of your long weekend! I literally laughed out loud at your favorite student quote… not far from the truth depending on who it is! 😉 Have a great weekend!!

    • Haha. It’s always so funny to see what foreigners think of Americans. And I suppose these days it’s very true for many people. 🙂 Have an awesome weekend!

  • That guy dancing made me so happy :). Have a great weekend!

    • Me too! I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw him dancing. He’s just so enthusiastic. 🙂 Have a good weekend!

  • Bahhh we did the killing. It was insane. I couldn’t stop, and it was all I thought about for the 2 weeks we were watching it!

    • Seriously! It’s just so addicting. We had to stop watching it during the week because we were going to sleep way too late. We just couldn’t stop watching. The way the episodes end leave you wanting to know more. I’m sure I’m going to have withdrawal when we finish the show. LOL.

      Have a great weekend!

  • Too funny! That is exactly how we watched The Killing the first season 🙂 and how we watched the first season of The Walking Dead. Have a great weekend!

    • Haha. Sounds like we have similar taste in shows! I’m excited for the return of The Walking Dead this month. I hope it’s a good season. Have a great weekend!

  • I’m totally looking forward to catching up with Lorelai and Rory again – GG is so addicting!

    • It really is! I used to rush home from classes on Tuesday to watch GG. Hah. 🙂

  • kathy@vodka and soda

i’m going to be 39 this year (gulp) but i don’t feel 39 most of the time…unless it’s 9pm and my neighbors are at it again…then i rage like a crabby 80yr old! LOL

    • Bahaha! I think we all hit that point when we want it to be silent by 9 PM. I know I’m there. Pretty soon I’ll probably be bitching for kids to stay off my lawn. 🙂

  • The quote from your student cracked me up. I’m due for #2 🙂

  • Very thought provoking quote about marriage! I am 30 and about to get married but it’s definitely for love so I didn’t fall into that category but it does make you think! Thanks so much for linking up!

    • It’s always so funny to see what foreigners think of Americans. Sometimes they hit the nail right on the head for some people. 🙂 BTW I’m still excited to see your wedding dress!
